André Neves
André da Silva Graça Arroja Neves (born 1975, Lisbon) is a Portuguese mathematician. He was awarded the Whitehead Prize in 2013 "for his work in geometric analysis and in particular his resolution of the Willmore conjecture jointly with Fernando Coda Marques."〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=News, Events and Announcements )〕〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=André Neves: o matemático que vale um milhão )〕 He is a professor at Imperial College London.
Neves was a student of Richard Melvin Schoen at Stanford University.
He was awarded a New Horizons in Mathematics Prize in November 2015, "for outstanding contributions to several areas of differential geometry, including work on scalar curvature, geometric flows, and his solution with Codá Marques of the 50-year-old Willmore Conjecture."〔https://breakthroughprize.org/News/29〕
He is a co-recipient of the 2016 Oswald Veblen Prize in Geometry.
